born this way

When  I  was  a  little  girl,  I  borrowed  a  spoon  from  my  mother’s  silverware  drawer.  My  playhouse  in  the  backyard  needed  carpet...so  I  decided  to  dig  up  beautiful  green  moss  for  my  wall  to  wall  room  decor.  Mother  was  not  pleased  about  her  spoon  becoming  a  garden  tool.

family tradition

My  father  and  grandfather  owned  an  Antique  Shop.  It  involved  the  entire  family.  While  my  friends  were  going  on  beach  vacations ,  my  family  would  go  antiquing  all  throughout  the  South.    Not  cool,  not  fun.

my passion

I  always  loved  the  wrapping  on  the  present  almost  as  much  as  the  present  itself.  Table  settings ,  to  me,  are  an  act  of  love.  I  have  a  love  for transforming  the  old  to  new.  Rejuvenating  the  rejected  to  a  new  purpose  makes  me  smile.  Making  something  beautiful  that  others  enjoy  makes  me  happy.

it was time

With  2  daughters  and  me,  my  husband  always  said  that  he  lived  in  the  “Estrogen  House”.  Now  that  the  girls have  moved  into  their  own  “finely  finished “  homes,  it  is  time  for  a  new  adventure.  A  chance  to  reimagine,  and  even,  rebrand  myself.

couldn’t be happier

Welcome  to  sara emily.  I  look  forward  to  sharing  my  passions,  ideas  and  stories  with  new  friends.  Thank  you,  sweet  Jesus,  for  the  next  chapter.
